A word from John McLaverty, Worshipful Master

My membership of the Forest of Arden Lodge for the past 7 years has been a great pleasure, indeed I can claim to be the first member to seek membership via this very website. Now to be entrusted with the office of Master for 2009-10 is a very special privilege.

This Lodge was established 90 years ago, and has therefore seen and made many changes during that period. However, there has been no change in the three great guiding principles that Freemasonry aspires towards in the lives of its members –

- Brotherly Love
- Relief
- Truth

These same principles will also continue to be the standards by which the Master, Wardens and Brethren of the Lodge measure their thoughts, language and behaviour as we begin to prepare plans for the Centenary of Forest of Arden.
